Rapper Yella Beezy, born Markies Conway, was arrested for allegedly hiring a gunman to carryout the murder of Mo3, another Dallas rapper, in November of 2020.
Originally, Beezy’s bond was set at $2 million because the state believed that Beezy is a danger and has the ability to flee if he wants to after discovering that he owns a bulletproof Denali.

Despite the state’s reasoning for setting Beezy’s bond at $2 million, Judge Gracie Lewis lowers his bond to $750,000 with conditions following the testimony of the rapper’s grandmother who stated that he could not afford to pay a $2 million dollar bond regardless of his ownership of a mansion and a bulletproof Denali.
Police believe Yella Beezy hired a hitman to carryout Mo3’s murder who was gunned down in broad daylight in the middle of interstate 35 in November of 2020. The hitman was arrested a month later and is charged with murder and is currently serving a nine-year prison sentence for firearm charges connected to the shooting. Beezy was arrested on the account of a witness saying they “overheard” a conversation, but there is no evidence of text messages or transactions on Beezy’s behalf.
